This is a saying by Tyler Durden from the movie Fight Club, and it is one that has stayed with me over the years. I have gone through periods of my life when I upheld it more than other times. I find when I uphold this belief, I am more in tune with the Spirit and its whimsical nature. When I can just let go of things, I have more fun. You cannot control certain outcomes but you can be a Co-Creator with the Creator. The key is to Co-Create in a balanced fashion and to do your best. Once you have done your best, you have to let go and see what manifests. Whatever it is, just accept it and learn from the experience. Trying to control everything too much takes away from the beauty of not knowing. It takes away from the discovery of things life throws your way. It also aligns you too much with the Ego and its calculative nature, which takes you away from the Higher Self and the Spirit. You have to always be in the Now, the present moment, and not in your own head.
